Transcreation = creative translation.When you're launching your product in the UK, in a different culture, the French text you have won't always translate well word-for-word. There'll be cultural differences, slogans, phrasing, maybe a rhyme or two to transfer. I'll transfer these so that they are effective in the UK market, achieving an EMOTIONAL IMPACT so that readers will take action. The new content may differ, but your message will remain.

Translated directly into Mandarin, KFC's "Finger lickin' good" slogan became "Eat your fingers off". Ooops.
